Karen A. Cotter

Karen A. Cotter, 55, of Rockford, Ill., died Monday, July 17, 2000, in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

The memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Burpee-Wood Funeral Home in Rockford, with the Rev. Jim Whitlock officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. to the time of service. A reception in the First Presbyterian Church will follow the service. Memorials may be made to the Rockford Memorial Development Foundation in care of the Oncology Department, 2400 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, Ill. 61103.

Mrs. Cotter was born October 2, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Dan Gordon and Marie Wolf Craig. She married Robert Cotter on December 10, 1977, in Rockford, Ill.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; her son, James Michael Cotter, of Rockford; brothers Lawrence Craig, Mark Lee Craig of Kenosha, Wis., Pete Craig of Mt. Pleasant, James Paul Craig of Mt. Pleasant, Stewart Craig of Chicago, and Damien Craig of Fairfield; two sisters, Pauline Gross and Rose Lee ?Inky? Fuller, both of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son James Russell Cotter, a sister Roseanne Craig and brother David Craig.
