Karl 'Butch' Harris

      Karl "Butch" Harris, 65, of Washington died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

      According to Mr. Harris's wishes, no funeral services are planned. An informal gathering and viewing will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the family receiving friends from 4 to 7, Tuesday evening. Following the gathering, the body will be cremated and private burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County.

      Mr. Harris was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Washington, to Art and Catherine (Hesseltine) Harris. He married Betty Magdefrau on Nov. 19, 1960. They later divorced.
