Katherine Elizabeth Pfeifer

Katherine Elizabeth Pfeifer, 86, of Birmingham, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pfeifer was born July 16, 1922, in Easton, Ill., the daughter of Crawford and Emma Peplow Skaggs. She married W. Scott Pfeifer Jan. 16, 1960, at Free Methodist Church in Birmingham.
