Kathleen Virginia Payne

Kathleen Virginia Payne, 81, of West Burlington, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24 at the First Christian Church in Burlington, with the Rev. David Nash officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril at 1 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23 in Lunning Chapel in Burlington with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the First Christian Church and the American Leukemia Society.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda and her husband Craig Williams of Burlington, and Rebecca and her husband Steven Hamilton of Athens, Ill.; two sons, Lavene and his wife Sheryl Payne of Muscatine, and Dan and his wife Mona Payne of Waterloo; and 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
