Kathryn A. Thoma

      WAYLAND - Kathryn A. Thoma, 87, of Wayland, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at Washington County Hospital.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial will be in North Hill Cemetery near Wayland. Visitation began at noon today and will continue this evening at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8. A rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to St. James Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.

      Mrs. Thoma was born on Sept. 9, 1917, in Tipton, Mo. On Aug. 29, 1943, she married William "Bill" Thoma in Kansas City, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1985.
