Kathryn Ellen Gugel

Kathryn Ellen Gugel, 76, of Washington, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, in her home following a brief battle with cancer.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Herb Yoder and the Rev. Grant Nebel officiating. Burial will be it the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery near Wayland. Visitation began at noon today in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Washington County of the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery.

      Mrs. Gugel was born March 28, 1932 in Wayland, the daughter of Seth and Florence (Krabill) Roth. She married Ezra Clifford Gugel on Dec. 28, 1952 at Bethel Mennonite Church.
