KATHRYN JEAN NEBEL

Hesston, Kan.

Kathryn Jean Nebel, 90, of Hesston, Kan., passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, at Schowalter Villa.

She was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Milford, Neb., the daughter of Nicholas and Barbara Ellen (Miller) Roth. She was united in marriage to Gerald Roth Nebel on Feb. 18, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2019.

Kathryn and Gerald were members of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, where they were active in the Crusaders Sunday school class. She and Gerald farmed together and raised their five children on the farm north of Noble.

Kathryn is survived by her children, Grant (Edie) Nebel, Phoenix, Ariz., Regina Dyck, Tucson, Ariz., and Brian (Brenda) Nebel, Hesston, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Owen Roth of Washington, Iowa; son-in-law, Howard Stewart, Tucson, Airz.; and daughter-in-law, Denise Nebel, Wayland, Iowa

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Nebel; parents; children, Bethene Stewart and Keith Nebel; sisters, Doris Graber and Lois Swan; brother, Neil Roth; and son-in-law, Tom Dyck.
