Kathryn Simmons

Kathryn A. Simmons, 58, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday, July 31 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday Aug. 4 at the Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Elder James Martin, Jr. of the Jesus Only Apostolic Temple of Mt. Pleasant officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sondra May and her husband Jeffrey Henry of Auburn, Neb., and Melissa Jane and her husband Daniel Ross of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Kenneth and his wife Diane Stagers of Mt. Pleasant; her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Mowery of Mt. Pleasant; and two granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and other grandparents.
