KALONA - Katie A. (Yoder) Nisley was born August 26, 1943 to Amos and Katie (Hochstetler) Yoder near Shipshewana, Indiana. She was baptized on her faith in Jesus, in the Old Order Amish Church and remained steadfast until her death on March 11, 2019 at her home near Kalona, Iowa, at the age of 75 years.

On November 21, 1963, she was united in marriage to Eldon Nisley near Shipshewana, Indiana, who survives.

To this union were born 8 children; Wayne (Verda) Nisley, Lockridge, Norma (Samuel) Yoder, Kalona, Nelda (Vernon) Miller, Riverside, Naomi (Wilford) Miller, Iowa City, Pauline (Mervin) Ropp, Kalona, Pollyanna (Eli) Miller, Riverside, Howard (Laura) Nisley, Kalona, Katie (Emery) Yoder, Lockridge. Also surviving are 67 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held 9:30 A.M. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Eldon Nisley residence at 5236 Sharon Center Road Southwest in rural Kalona. Burial will be in the Peter Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be held begin at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday and will continue all day on Wednesday at the Eldon Nisley residence. The Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is caring for Katie and her family
