COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Keith Burdette Moore, 60, of Merriam, Kansas, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in St. Luke?s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with Don Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time, Monday at the funeral home. A general memorial has been established.
Mr. Moore was born Feb. 8, 1955, in Washington, the son of F. Burdette and Martha (Caldwell) Moore.
He grew up in Columbus Junction and graduated from Columbus Community High School in 1973. He joined the Navy after high school and was honorably discharged in 1976. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic in the Columbus Junction area. He graduated from North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City in 1993 with an Associate Degree in applied science. He started working for Magnum Systems in June 1993 as a field service technician. For the rest of his life, he traveled throughout the world installing and maintaining industrial packaging systems. His work ethic and ability to solve problems earned him the respect of all who worked with him.
Surviving are his siblings and their spouses, Jean and Bob Whyte of Lakewood, Colorado, Alice and Stan Zinnel of Mason City, Joyce and Steve Eggebeen of Oostburg, Wisconsin, and George and Anita Moore of Washington; and six nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Mary.
