KELLIE HANSON Washington, IA Kellie Hanson, age 36, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Washington following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin noon Thursday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Thursday evening. Kellie was born August 24, 1982, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Doug and Deborah (Gray) Dietz. She attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 2000. Kellie was united in marriage to Zach Hanson on August 23, 2006, in Washington, Iowa. Kellie was a life long resident of Washington, Iowa. She worked for eight years at the University of Iowa Hospitals and most recently was the manager of the Corner Stop in Washington, Iowa. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Football fan and loved every kid she met. She is survived by her husband, Zach Hanson of Washington, Iowa; father, Doug Dietz of Washington, Iowa; brother, Corey Dietz of Iowa City, Iowa; brother, Adam Dietz and significant other, Alyx Hammen of Wayland, Iowa; four nieces and nephews; maternal grandparents, Ed and Evelyn Gray of Kannapolis, North Carolina; uncle, Mike Gray and wife Teri of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and uncle, Lee Gray and wife Judy of Concord, North Carolina. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Janet Yoder and step father-in-law, Charles Yoder of Iowa City, Iowa; brother-in-law, Brandon Hanson and wife Molly of Wapello, Iowa; sister-in-law, Sheila Stauffer of Iowa City, Iowa; uncle Neal Dietz and wife Cathy of Ames, Iowa; several cousins and her many "adopted" kids. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2011; paternal grandparents, Wilbert Dietz and Patricia Herman; and father-in-law, Charles Hanson.
