Kenneth C. Henke Jr.

KEOKUK - Kenneth C. Henke Jr., 83, of Keokuk, died Friday, April 18, 2008, in the Great River Medical Center n Burlington following an extended illness with Alzheimer's disease.

      Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, in the Keokuk National Cemetery with family members conducting the service. Full military rites and inurnment will follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be after noon Thursday in the DeJong Funeral Home in Keokuk, where the family will be present from 7:30 to 9 p.m. A public Masonic memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Montrose Health Care Center's Oasis Unit.

      Mr. Henke was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Keokuk, the son of Kenneth C. Henke Sr. and Bessie (Kean) Henke. He married Jean Pfrimmer on June 7, 1947, in Centerville.
