Kenneth Chalupa

A celebration of life for Kenneth Chalupa, 80, of Kalona will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with Laurel Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will follow at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22 at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County.

Kenneth Chalupa was born January 3, 1938 in Kalona, Iowa, the son of Glenn and Violet (Vodicka) Chalupa. He attended the Kalona United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing with his dogs, keeping his hands busy with crafts, camping, and loved to watch the Broncos play. He also enjoyed watching polka party.

Survivors include his sister, Virginia Johnson of Keyser, W. Va.; one niece, Sally Johnson of Keyser, W. Va.; one aunt, Rosetta Fry of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and a number of cousins.

Preceding Kenneth in death were his parents; brother-in-law, Butch Johnson; and one aunt, Margurite Lybbert
