Kenneth L. Fread October 16, 1927 - November 27, 2003

      Kenneth L. Fread, 76, of Ottawa, Ill., died unexpectedly Thursday evening, Nov. 27, 2003, at Community Hospital in Ottawa.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, with the Rev. John P. Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, where the veterans will fold and present the flag. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church's kitchen fund.

      Survivors include his wife; one son, Donald Fread of Ottawa; three grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Bailey of Mount Hamil; and a brother, Benjamin Fread of Lexington, Ky.

      He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
