Kenneth L. Hensel

      Kenneth L. Hensel, 66, of Clay Center, Kan., formerly of Washington, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 in the Clay Center Hospital following declining health.

      Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Julie Poulsen of the United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Big Lakes Development Center in Manhattan, Kan.

      Mr. Hensel was born July 19, 1941 in Ottumwa, the son of M. Clinton Sr. and Mary E. (Leon) Hensel. He married Jane A. Chalupa on June 5, 1970 in Washington.
