Kevin D. Miller

KALONA ? Kevin Douglas Miller, 23, of Kalona, died Friday, May 20, 2016, as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, at the Fairview Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Perry L. Miller, the Rev. Leon Stutzman and the Rev. Conrad Hertzler officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the church. A general memorial fund has been established. Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born May 10, 1993, in Iowa City, the son of Lloyd and Arlene (Mast) Miller.

He graduated from Pathway Christian School and attended Kirkwood Community College. He was employed as a truck driver for Slabaugh Trucking and was a member of the Fairview Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, trucking, and being with his friends.

Surviving are his parents, of Riverside; four siblings, Jerome Miller of Riverside, Amy Jo Miller and fiancé Tyler Parry of Arvada, Colorado, Hannah Miller of Iowa City, and Shaun Miller of Riverside; his paternal grandfather, Joe Miller Jr. of Kalona; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Eldora Mast; his paternal grandmother, Erma Miller; and one uncle.
