Knight Wagner of Colfax, Calif., passed away on June 11, 2025. Memorial services will be at a later date.
Knight was born on April 25, 1938, in Richland, Iowa, the son of Clark I. Wagner and Alberta Coon-Wagner. He graduated from Washington High School and joined the U.S. Navy with his longtime best friend, Jack Genkinger of Washington, Iowa.
He worked many years as a Mechanical Engineer and was very proud of his classic cars, motorcycles, and tractors. Among his many achievements is a book he wrote about his youth, called, "Raised on the Coppock Road". Knight's personality was truly unique.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Bette, and sons, Blaine Wagner of Folsom, Calif., Kirby Wagner of Muscatine, Iowa, and Kurt Wagner of Davenport, Iowa, sister Bertie Johnson of Minnesota and brother Clark L. Wagner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Preceding Knight in death were his parents, and sister, Mary Anne Brindley. Donations can be made to "Gideons International".
