Kurt B. Menke March 25, 1957 - October 4, 2005

      Kurt Bernard Menke, 48, of West Point, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 north of Burlington as the result of an auto accident.

      The mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday Oct. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point with Rev. Fr. Apo Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in West Point. A memorial has been established in his memory.

      Visitation will begin after noon on Thursday at the St. Mary's Church in West Point. The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. The family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m.

      Survivors include his parents; five brothers, Dale and his wife Sharon Menke of Fairfax, Ray and his wife Sue Menke of Fort Madison, Ronald Menke of Fort Madison, Jacob and his wife Laura Menke of Donnellson and Phillip and his wife Sharon Menke of Davenport; one sister Karen and her husband Bob Hill of Bloomington, Ill.

      He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
