L. Glen Guengerich

      L. Glen Guengerich, 95, of Harrisonburg, Va., died at his home, Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, following a lengthy illness.

      Visitation will be held at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona on Friday, Jan. 28, begining at 11 a.m., with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, prior to the memorial service, at East Union Cemetery. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at East Union Mennonite Church, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Mennonite School Scholarship Fund or to the Kalona Historical Society.

      Mr. Guengerich was born near Centralia, Mo., on April 14, 1909, to Elmer J. and Magdalena (Yoder) Guengerich. He married Allie Davison on Feb. 27, 1943.
