L. Glen Guengerich

L. Glen Guengerich, 95, Harrisonburg, Va., formerly of Kalona, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005.

      A graveside funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the East Union Cemetery in Kalona. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be at East Union Mennonite Church in Kalona at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at Peterseim's Funeral Home in Kalona. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Iowa Mennonite School Scholarship Fund or to the Kalona Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lowell and his wife Susan Guengerich of Harrisonburg and Galen and his wife Beverly Guengerich of Souderton, Pa.; three daughters, Elaine and her husband Verlin Miller of Goshen, Annette and her husband Eugene Ritter of Harrisonburg and Audrey and her husband Corydon Baylor of Richmond, Va.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul T. and his wife Marjorie Guengerich of Harrisonburg.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willis and Edwin (Jack); and a sister, Laura Gingerich.
