L. Irene Hand
Laura Irene Hand, 80, Danville, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Danville Care Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the Elliott Chapel in New London with family present from 5-7 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be held at 6 p.m. The body has been cremated. A private family burial will be held in Farlow Cemetery in New London.
A memorial has been established to the activity and transportation fund at the Danville Care Center.
She was born Aug. 28, 1927, in Lowell, the daughter of Frank and Stella Canaday Rhum. She was raised by her grandmother, Katie Canaday. She married John Hand at Camp Hood, Texas, on Aug. 3, 1944.
