Larry A. Milks, 76, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Larry was born March 19, 1943, in Henry County, the son of Gilbert and Cecile Sammons Milks. He served his country in the U.S. Army as he entered in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1967. Larry was united in marriage to Kay Vorhies in 1969.

Larry worked for Jerry's Pizza in his younger years and retired from the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown after 43 years.

He is survived by his sons, Heath (Eunbee) Milks of Kansas City, Mo., and Nathan (Val) Milks of Mount Pleasant; two grand-daughters; two grandsons; one step-grandson; three brothers, Ron (Lynn) Milks of Panora, Iowa, Roger (Patti) Milks of Mount Pleasant and Kent Milks of Quincy, Ill.; one sister, Linda Knoop of Mount Pleasant; and along with many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Moeller.

A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant.
