Larry B. Nelson

Larry B. Nelson, 80, of Bonaparte, formerly of Lockridge, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lockridge. Military honors will be conducted by the Lockridge Veterans Association.  

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial has been established to New Sweden Lutheran Church.

Mr. Nelson was born Feb. 13, 1930, at Four Corners, the son of Harold and Margaret McGaw Nelson. He married Inez E. Ballard Nov. 30, 1959, in Burlington. She preceded him in death.
