Larry D. Beenblossom

HERNANDO, Fla. ? Larry Dale Beenblossom, 76, of Inverness, Florida, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, in the Hospice House.

Celebration of life services will be held at the Riverside Christian Fellowship Church in Hernando, Florida. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Iowa.

Mr. Beenblossom was born Jan. 30, 1940, in Crawfordsville, the son of Dale and Opal Beenblossom. He was married to Charlotte Ann (Ochala) Beenblossom.

All of his childhood memories were back in Iowa. He had a lot of business opportunities. He loved talking to people young and old. He was known as Santa by many people and loved by one and all. He was known as a good storyteller.

Surviving are one brother, Duane Beenblossom and wife Jill of Morning Sun; two sisters, Hope Reed and husband Michael of Keota, and Faith Story of Columbus Junction; his stepmother and best friend, Mary Beenblossom of Columbus Junction; his first wife, Gladys; five children, Sherry Beenblossom, Cindy Martin, Jeff Beenblossom, Tammy Starr and husband Scott, and Chrissy and husband Chris; one stepson, Michael Kelly and wife Emma; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Larry; one brother-in-law, Jeff Story; and one son-in-law, Tony Martin.
