KEOTA ? Larry Joseph McArtor, 57, of Keota, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at his home.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Holy Trinity Parish ? St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Cemetery ? Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in rural Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, at the church, where a wake service will be held at 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. After 11 ½ months of traveling to hospitals and waiting at appointments, the family would like to use the memorial fund for items such as gas cards and debit cards for food, lodging, parking, etc., to help other families who are going through cancer as well. The Powell Funeral Home in Keota is handling the arrangements.
Mr. McArtor was born March 11, 1958, in Washington, the son of Vaughn and Margaret (Adrian) McArtor. He married Brenda Frazier on Aug. 20, 1983.

He could change anyone?s mood by just walking in with a smile on his face, and could turn anyone?s bad day into a better one. He enjoyed NFL football all his life, especially the Miami Dolphins. He enjoyed golfing, boating, biking, going to his grandchildren?s sporting events, and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda; two daughters, Jamie Hall and husband Chris of North English, and Kylie McArtor of Des Moines; two grandchildren; one brother, Tom and Steve McArtor/Armstrong of Mount Pleasant; his mother-in-law, Virginia Frazier of South English; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
