Larry Lester Keck, 79, of Salem, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Larry was born on August 12, 1940, in Keosauqua, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Esther (Giberson) Keck. He was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Steward on April 6, 1963, in Morning Sun, Iowa. They later divorced. Larry worked as a truck driver for Nelson Trucking for 35 years and later for Agri Center in Mount Pleasant. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his children, Brenda (Emmett) McDowell of Salem and Shelby (Paul) Kinney of Mount Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Heather, Tina, Justin, Jessie, Corey, Jody and Colton; twenty-two great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty (Gary) Winters of Cave-In-Rock, Illinois; along with four nieces and eight nephews.

Larry was preceded death by his parents; one daughter, Debra Volner; one son, Monte Keck; and three brothers, Charles Keck, Dean Keck and Kenneth Keck.

According to his wishes cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant and no services are planned at this time.
