Larry Warren 'Smoke' Arbogast

      Larry Warren "Smoke" Arbogast, 71, of Washington died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 in his home in Washington following a short illness.

      A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor James Cluney officiating with military rites to follow. Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. in the funeral home with family receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. His body has been cremated and will be interred at the Sandy Hook Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in the name of Larry Arbogast may be designated to Hospice of Washington County.

      Larry was born Oct. 27, 1934 in Coppock, Iowa the son of Lloyd and Lois (Spohn) Arbogast. He attended school in Wayland and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Shirley Arlene Hesseltine in Brighton on May 4, 1957.
