Larry was born on September 19, 1944, in Crawfordsville, Iowa, the son of Russell L. and Opal (McGuire) Williams. He graduated from high school and served in the National Guard. Larry spent many years as an auctioneer, a job he truly loved, and also worked as a truck driver. Later, he combined his love of the open road and people by arranging and driving bus tours around the country, helping others experience new places and make memories along the way.
Larry loved visiting with friends, sharing stories of his travels, and spending time near the water in Port Isabel in his later years. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and rarely missed a game, always cheering on his team with pride. Larry loved telling jokes and stories, bringing laughter and smiles wherever he went.
Above all, Larry had a strong belief in God, and his faith guided him throughout his life, giving him peace and strength during difficult times. His humor, strong work ethic, and quiet kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Larry was married to Cristina Olmos-Williams in 2023, who lives in Texas.
Additional survivors include his two nieces, Tricia (Clark) Brown and Tammy (Steve) Girling, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Donald and Lyle.
