Laura F. Stuffings November 9, 1951 - October 14, 2003

      Laura F. Stuffings, 51, of Sedalia, Colo., formerly of Houghton, died on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 14, 2003, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. A private family burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and contributions may be made at the church, mailed to Link Funeral Home in West Point or sent to Jeanne Pieper of West Point.

      Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeffrey P. Stuffings of Boston, Mass., and Michael A. Stuffings, of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Stuffings at home; a brother, Bernard John and his wife Michelle Dingman of Park City, Utah; and five sisters, Mary Ann McGuire of St. Louis, Mo., Jeanne and her husband Greg Pieper of West Point, Carol and her husband Norman Forester of Bettendorf, Dorothy and her husband Michael McLaughlin of St. Louis, Mo., and Margaret and her husband John Rector of Billings, Mont.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son.
