Laurel Krieger

Laurel Lauer Krieger, 92, of W. Burlington, formerly of Mt. Union, died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at Mt. Union United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in Mt. Union. Visitation will begin after noon Friday, Aug. 27 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Mt. Union United Methodist Church and Great River Hospice.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Duane and his wife Dee Krieger of Joliet, Ill., Dennis and his wife Katie Krieger of West Burlington, and Miles and his wife Deb Krieger of Burlington; and 10 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
