LaVerne L. Graber

      Mt. PLEASANT - LaVerne L. Graber, 83, of Wayland died Sunday, June 3, 2007 in the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 in the Wayland Mennonite Church with the Rev. Pam Unruh and the Rev. Gerry Klopfenstein officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Gideons International and to H.O.P.E. Scholarship Fund in the Wayland Mennonite Church.

      Mr. Graber was born June 14, 1923 in Crawfordsville, the son of Peter and Magdelena (Wenger) Graber. He married N. Elizabeth Schroll on June 24, 1945 in the Wayland Mennonite Church. She died on Feb. 8, 1997. He later married Ruth Leichty in October 1998. She died in January 2007.
