Lavina Ann Barton

      MT. PLEASANT - Lavina Ann Barton, 74, of Lockridge, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, in the Henry County Health Center.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Don Coffin officiating. Burial will be in the Lambirth Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Lambirth Cemetery and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

      Mrs. Barton was born April 16, 1934 in Washington County, the daughter of David R. and Ada Fannie (Christner) Schantz. She married Rex W. Barton on June 3, 1956 in Washington.
