Lavondia L. Fox

      Lavondia L. Fox, 78, of Brighton, died at 3:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.

      A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6:30-8 p.m., at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

      A general memorial has been established.

      Mrs. Fox was born July 17, 1929, in Coppock, the daughter of Gilbert and Evelena Harrison Simpson. She married Vernon Fox June 17, 1951, in Washington. He died Dec. 24, 1986.
