Lawrence D. Burns, 78, died at home in Bradenton, FL on Nov 26, 2018. He was born 1940 in Iowa City and was raised in Wellman Iowa, He was a 1963 graduate of the University of Iowa and served as an officer in the home office of Ohio Casualty Ins. Co. in Hamilton Ohio for 30 years. He avidly pursued his hobbies of living history interpretation and 18th century campfire and hearth cookery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, grand daughters Hannah and Heidi Burns, daughter in law Jennifer Burns, sister in law Sandy Burns, nieces Teri and Toni. Larry was preceded in death by his son Curtis Robert Burns, his father Robert J. Burns, brother Richard Burns and mother Dorothy Drozd.
