Lawrence E. Schrepfer October 7, 1922 - October 3, 2003

Lawrence Edward Schrepfer, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Military honors will follow. Burial will be at a later date in Winfield Scott Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the funeral home with family present at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Gilbert and his wife Marianne Schrepfer of Bonaparte, and Stanton and his wife Ernestine Schrepfer of Fort Madison, and a sister, Verda Krabill of Donnellson.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a sister.
