Lawrence T. Brown

      Lawrence T. Brown, 85, of rural Batavia, died Monday morning, Nov. 3, 2008, at home.

      A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Richland United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating. Burial will be in Halferty Cemetery west of Richland.

      Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

      A memorial to Richland United Methodist Church has been established. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 1174 Brookville Road, Batavia 52533.

      Mr. Brown was born April 14, 1923, near Ollie, the son of Willard and Alice Michener Brown. He married Helen Dickinson May 27, 1951, in Richland. She died Feb. 16, 1985. He married Hazel Hill Cruikshank Oct. 5, 1985, in Bloomfield.
