Lawrence Techau

Lawrence Techau, 88, of Washington, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, in the Washington Care Center following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Linda Foor officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Techau was born Aug. 18, 1919 in Cedar County, the son of John and Anna (Nagel) Techau. He married Marian Thien on Sept. 14, 1958. He later married Doris Mattson on Dec. 6, 1999 in New Hampton.
