Lawrence Tisor

COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Lawrence Arlie Tisor, 69, of Waterloo, formerly of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, in Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.

Cremation rites have been facilitated by the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7, at Columbus City Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

Mr. Tisor was born May 31, 1947, in Muscatine, the son of Lawrence R. and Dora Mae (Manley) Tisor. He married Joyce Clark in 1990 in Waterloo.

He graduated from Columbus Junction Community High School. He had been employed by John Deere for many years, and enjoyed citizens band and ham radios and spending time on his computer.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce, of Waterloo; four children, Brian Tisor of Texas, Michael Tisor and wife Tanya of Tennessee, Rae Lawley of Alabama, and Tonja Barnes and husband Jason of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Connie Nicholas of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one great-granddaughter.
