Lawrence W. Fessler

Lawrence William Fessler, 96, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Edina, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 13, in Mt. Pleasant.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Mo., with the rosary at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, with the Rev. Joseph Hoi officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with full military honors.

Memorials have been established for St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Edina Nutrition Site, and may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.

He was born Jan. 31, 1912, in Wien, Mo., the son of Tony J. and Anna Schultz Fessler. On June 16, 1941, he married Fern Whitehead in Macon, Mo.; she died in 1980. On Oct. 3, 1987, he married Esther Crawford.
