Lena Alice Allen passed away at Banner Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Arizona, on June 15, 2023.

Lena was born July 22, 1938, to Frank and Velma Hootman in Van Buren County. She graduated from the Van Buren Community School District. Lena married and later divorced Larry Allen in Iowa. She managed Scotties Restaurant, along with working at various other places in Fairfield. Lena also sold and collected Avon items. She moved to Glendale, Arizona, in 1983, where she worked and retired from Kmart. Lena loved watching Westerns, collecting Avon items, playing cards and doing puzzles, and belonged to a bowling league in Fairfield and Glendale.

She is survived by immediate family: two sons, Randy (Rosie) Allen with granddaughter Mea in Ohio, and Russ (Deb) Allen in Iowa with grandson Eric in New Jersey. She is also survived by her two sisters, Betty Webber of South Carolina and Doris Thorngren of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Velma; and son, Terry.

As per her wishes, she has been cremated.
