Lena J. Masden

Lena J. Masden, 86, of the Good Samaritan Center died at 10:17 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2000, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

The funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa. The graveside service was at 11:30 a.m. today in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Masden was born March 29, 1914, in Tracy, the daughter of Richard and Mary McCombs. She was married to George A. Masden. She was a resident of Mt. Pleasant from 1951 to 1987 before moving to Ottumwa.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Wood of Taylor Ridge, Ill., Shirley Bentley of Silvis, Ill. and Evelyn Pence of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers; and five sisters.
