Leo D. Lemley December 2, 1931 - September 8, 2005

      Leo Delbert Lemley, 73, of New London, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with Pastor Sue Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery in New London. Visitation will be today after noon at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to Southeastern Renal Dialysis.

      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Delbert and his wife Teresa Lemley, and Bob and his wife Cyndee Lemley, all of New London; three daughters, Robin Martin, and Mindy and her husband Shane Mettler, all of New London, and Melissa and her husband Richard Brown of Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Gene Lemley of Kalona; and two sisters, Edna Jane and her husband Jerry Price of Augusta, S.C., and Viola and her husband Denny Allen of Baltimore, Md.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geneva Knight; two sisters in infancy; and an infant brother.
