Leona A. Pauly

      FORT MADISON - Leona A. Pauly, 78, of Fort Madison, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Thomas Parlette officiating. Burial will be in Soldiers' Circle in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, with a rosary said at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Fort Madison Catholic school system.

      Mrs. Pauly was born on March 30, 1926, in Pleasant Plain, to Leo and Gertrude (Gelski) Fritz. On July 7, 1945, she married Herbert C. Pauly in Memphis, Tenn. He preceded her in death in 1992.
