Leona Grace Thompson

Leona Grace Thompson, 77, of Salem, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in West Point.

      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Sharon Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Daniel Hemken officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Sharon Presbyterian Church or Sharon Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Charlotte and her husband Dave Spiekermeier of West Point, Audrey and her husband Tom Drollinger and Janet Fedler, all of Fort Madison, and Sharon and her husband John Sander of Farmington; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Ericson of Marshalltown, and Ralph Ericson of Lockridge; and three sisters, Betty Barr of Mt. Pleasant, Evelyn Wieter of Largo, Fla., and Donna Luzadder of Fairfield.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers and three sisters.
