Leona Mildred Gardner

      Leona Mildred Gardner, 88, of Washington, died Friday Sept.23, 2005, at Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the funeral home, with the family present from 7 to 8:30, Tuesday evening. Rebekah Lodge services will be held at the funeral home at 7, Tuesday evening. Memorials have been established for First Christian Church, United Presbyterian Home Health Center or the American Cancer Society.

      Mrs. Gardner was born Dec. 1, 1916, to Howard and Dora May (Davison) Wagner in Washington County. She married Walter E. Gardner in Washington on June 22, 1935.
