Leonard A. White

Leonard Alden White, 78, of Burlington died Monday, Feb. 2, at Klein Unit at Great River Medical Center.

His body has been cremated. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with family present from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Vicki Engelmann officiating and military rites conducted by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. Inurnment will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials have been established for St. Luke United Church of Christ and the Des Moines County Special Needs Foundation.

He was born March 26, 1930, in Salem, the son of Roy and Ruth Sampson White. On May 7, 1955, he married Grace "Pat" Beck in Burlington.
