Leonard DeHoet

      IOWA CITY - Leonard DeHoet, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services have been set for 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at noon, Friday, at the funeral home, with family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30, Friday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County.

      Mr. DeHoet was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Ames to Leonard and Gertrude Ethyl (Phillips) De Hoet. He married Ruth Evelyn Lester Randall in Centerville, Aug. 19, 1977. He had previously been married to Yvonne Stone.
