Leonard E. Pohren

      Leonard E. Pohren, 83, of Wayland, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in the Parkview Home in Wayland after failing in health.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment with military honors conducted by the Washington American legion Post No. 29 will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to the Great River Hospice.

      Mr. Pohren was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Jefferson County, the son of Christian and Lydia (Kern) Pohren. He married Arlene M. Weinard on Sept. 30, 1943 in Washington.
