Leonard J. Sondag

      KEOTA-Leonard J. Sondag, 86, of Keota, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Maplewood Manor in Keota, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Holy Trinity Parish St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Keota Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. this evening, at the church, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Maplewood Manor in Keota. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is in charge of arrangements.

      Mr. Sondag was born on Nov. 6, 1917, in Harper, to Matts and Rose (Pauly) Sondag. On May 28, 1940, he married D. Marjorie Chambers in Keota.
