Leonard O. 'Sharkey' Schooley

      Leonard O. "Sharkey" Schooley, 97, formerly of the Abingdon area, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital Living Care Center in Fairfield.

      A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Interment will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

      Open visitation will began at 1 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, where family will be present from 7-7:30 p.m. A Masonic service by the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge will start at 7:30 p.m.

      Memorials may be directed to Kilwinning Masonic Lodge No. 198 of Batavia.

      Mr. Schooley was born April 14, 1910, in Polk Township in Jefferson County, the son of Thomas and Levina Kiews Schooley.
